Drop Shot

A drop shot is a delicate shot played softly to land just over the net in the opponent's court, typically with backspin or sidespin to minimize bounce. In beach tennis, where the ball may not bounce, a drop shot aims to land close to the net making it difficult for the opponent to reach before it lands a second time. The drop shot is a legal shot provided the ball clears the net and lands within the opponent's court.
