From Zero to First Game.

1. The court & gear

Play on a 16 m x 8 m sand court, net at 1.70 m. You need a solid beach tennis paddle and a depressurized ball. No special shoes. play barefoot.

2. The serve

Serve from behind the baseline, underhand or overhand, usually one attempt. The ball must clear the net and be returned before bouncing. See how to serve.

3. Scoring

4. Positioning (doubles)

Both partners play side by side near the net where possible. beach tennis rewards aggressive net play. Cover the middle, communicate, and look for the lob over a charging pair.

5. Winning points

Keep the ball low and angled, use the lob to push opponents off the net, and finish with a smash. Because there is no bounce, court positioning and quick hands matter more than power.
