Beach Tennis Glossary
Sideline
A sideline is a boundary line running the full length of the court (perpendicular to the net) defining the side edges of the court. Per ITF Beach Tennis Court Regulations, the court is 8 meters wide. Balls landing on or outside the sideline are out in a conventional singles call. In beach tennis, the same court dimensions are used for both singles and doubles. Balls landing on any court line (including sidelines) are considered good (in).
