Baseline

The baseline is the back boundary line of the court running parallel to the net at each end. Per ITF Beach Tennis Court Regulations, the court is 16 meters long (8 meters each side of the net) and the baseline marks the far end boundary. The server must stand behind the baseline when serving (Rule 7.2). A ball landing beyond the baseline is out. In singles the full width of the baseline is in play; doubles uses the same court dimensions.
