Flat Serve
A flat serve is a service delivery hit with minimal spin, producing a fast, direct ball flight through the service box. The flat serve travels at maximum speed but with less margin for error compared to a spin serve. The ball must land in the correct service box (the diagonal box on the server's right or left depending on service order). Per ITF Rules, if a flat serve lands outside the service box it is a service fault.
