Tie-Break

A tie-break (also called a tiebreak or tiebreaker) is a special shortened game played to determine the winner of a set when the game score reaches a prescribed threshold. In beach tennis, the tie-break is played when the set score reaches 6-6 (in a standard set) or in some formats as a full third-set super tie-break to 10 points. Per ITF Beach Tennis Rules Rule 8b, the serve in a tie-break rotates after the first point and then every two points. The first player to reach 7 points (with a 2-point lead) wins the tie-break and the set.
